I've removed the essay for the 12th, since it really needs a rewrite. That's why this is still `Ben's experimental blog.' In the mean time, here's some reader feedback: I'm not a fan of the blog as art form, but I appreciate the anecdotes about 4th grade dialogues on feminism and hurricanes. The opinions seem a little advanced for a 4th grade class. Maybe, it happened in 8th grade. 4th grade, 8th grade, same difference when you're 28 and a half. --AC Dear AC, Now that I think about the layout of the room, the lighting, and other things that girl had said, it was fifth grade. It was a class for the `gifted and talented' (GT), which may explain the advanced thinking there. GT is one of those terms that everybody dislikes, but they get around it by using the abbreviation and quickly forgetting that the letters G and T signify anything. Perhaps that's why there are no classes for exclusively gifted or exclusively talented kids. In short, fifth grade. Definitely fifth.
